Starting PT

I've started some PT on my knee . . . I never thought I would describe tightening my quad muscle as a difficult exercise. However, that along with sliding my knee along the floor to a bent position are some of the hardest things I've ever done. Give me a hard 45 minute cross race any day . . . or even boring intervals on my trainer in the living room!!

I did get to see my MRI results this week. Not good. I have a partial tear of the ACL, a torn anterior medial meniscus, and a small hairline fracture of the thigh bone. I got to see all the fluid that is still on my knee which is mostly from where my shin bone and thigh bone collided.
For now I'm working with a physical therapist to get my range of motion back and I'm hoping to be off the crutches soon. The next step is to see the orthopedic surgeon in 3 weeks. At that point we will discuss my surgery needs.
