Biking???
So tonight my road bike team, Capitol Velo Club, is having an indoor spin session for returning members and for potential new members. I'm planning to go as I feel obligated as the pseudo-president of the club. However, I know that it's going to kill me although I really just plan to spin an easy gear while everyone else does whatever it is that you do at a spin session. The new members are going to wonder about my complete inability to ride for an hour. I really hope we are only riding for an hour . . . half an hour sounds even better actually.
I'm also contemplating taking one more ski weekend. I had really planned to be done with all the travel last weekend but the big snowstorm up north does sound so tantalizing. One more weekend with some easy skiing just for fun would be super nice. The bank account says stay home but the snow beckons!
In other non-sports related news I started "back to school" this week. Last night I did a fair amount of my required reading for Unit One on basic camera mechanics, aperture, shutter speed, etc. This part really was just a refresher since I did take photo classes as part of my undergrad degree in Journalism although that was like a zillion years ago. I have a DVD I need to watch as well but I cheated and did the take home quizes last night since I knew the answers. I also have cassette tapes to listen to but I have to borrow a cassette player (cassette tapes . . . that is so retro it makes me laugh). I also have to shoot a bunch of photos for the photo assignments and get those ready to turn in as well. All that should keep me busy.
However, I am sure my photos would be more inspired if I went up north skiing. I think my advisor would like to see photos with dazzling new snow in them!
