Photo assignments done
I've just completed the last of the photos that I need to turn in to have critiqued for my photo course. Now I'm ready to move on to the next assignments which are progressively more involved and complex. I'm feeling good though as one of my goals for my classes is that I don't want to reuse any shots I've taken prior to enrolling. I feel like one of the big benefits to being in school is forcing yourself to shoot on a timeline and when conditions or location options might not be ideal.
Anyway, I really wanted to capture the elusive Madison muskrat that is alive and flourishing in the bay of Lake Monona. It took a few times out to finally get a good shot but I got one to use for my selective focus assignment. I realize that muskrats aren't exactly baby bunnies or zebra or mountain lionsin the "ooooh, aaaah" factor but you have to shoot the wildlife that you can find.

Hi Renee. Sounds like you had a great ski season- someday I'll get my butt out there to try it. With cross season ending in December, it just doesn't seem right to be back on the bike in January....
What photography course are you taking? and have you started to go over post processing work yet, raw conversion etc? Photography has always been more than a passing interest for me as well, but I've never had any formal education in it so I'm interested to hear about your experiences.
