Work Travel has its perks

Work travel often involves long drives such as last night when I drove to Hayward after work. However, I get to meet with communities and schools that are excited to make it safer and more appealing for kids to walk and bike to school. That's cool.

It's also cool when I get to ride in cool places. Like this morning before work at the Hatchery Creek Trails just outside Hayward.

I also get to go to cool towns like Ashland. (Don't miss the Ashland Baking Company next time you're in Ashland).

And on really good days you get to ride the Ojibwe trail after work. Most exciting part of that ride was coming upon a bow hunter . . . I scared him and he scared me. Luckily he was just starting to head out into the woods so it wasn't like he was going to shoot me but still.

Tomorrow I have a couple of more meetings and then the long drive back home.

Got word today that Pedros is coming through with some prizes for the race. Sweet!
