Badger Cross is going to rock!
Things are really starting to come together for the WCA Cyclocross Kick Off Weekend. I'm already over 1/3 full for the clinic and I haven't even started to actually advertise it. I imagine it will fill quickly once I write a press release for the WCA page.
Sponsors for the race are also starting to come together. I've got a commmitment from JT Whitneys to be a sponsor so that means twice as much to drink this year. Hopefully that means there will be some left when the last race finishes but probably just means everyone else will drink twice as much. Food sponsors are in the works although nothing is final yet but we'll have free food again.
A Badger Cross logo is also in develoment right now which I anticipate using for custom pint glasses. Those would be given to all the top finishers, all the volunteers, and then we would have a few for raffle prizes. It looks like we'll have some great merchandise prizes this year as well and good cash prize payouts for the elite racers.
It's going to be a great weekend of cyclocross!
Oh yeah, and I finally figured out what I did to my neck . . . I think I pulled/strained something pushing my mom in her wheelchair up a steep sidewalk by her nursing home. At the time I had this really weird feeling in my chest but I didn't think much of it as it only lasted for about 30 seconds. However, in retrospect I'm sure that's when it happened. It was a good deed gone awry.
