I think I'm getting old . . .
So my neck/shoulder pain problem persists so I didn't get to do my scheduled hard group ride with the alt-bomb. Riding home from work was enough as I could hardly turn my head around enough to check for traffic when I was making left turns. I decided to stay home, stretch and ice. The ride to work this morning was only slightly better and I've been trying all kinds of funny positions in my chair to make being at the computer all day comfortable. On the up side my knee felt a ton better today from taking a night off from hard riding.
Is this how I'm going to feel every day when I'm 80?

You're probably already getting plenty of unsolicited advice, but I've found yoga to greatly beneficial for all the ails of cycling and sitting at a desk job. It really does make you stronger at the core, more flexible, less prone to injury and generally a happier camper. 'Cross and running is really hard on the body. I've heard Pilates works well too if you're not into the inner well-being aspect.
It's kind of ironic that I'm having these problems given that ever since my knee surgery I've been more flexible and had a strong core than before (thanks to 9 months of PT). It's also very ironic that just a few days ago I made an appointment to get a personalized yoga program based on my muscular and skeletal imbalances. I think they will have to spend some some extra time to go over all my problems! I'm clearly very imbalanced :-)
