Party, party, party

I love having parties. I should do it more often!

It was a nice turn out last night . . .
JP - exuberant series director and the number one guy behind the scene making our series happen
Michele - Adventure racer turned cross afficionado
Kristin - serious fast roadie gal and now a seriously fast crosser gal
Heather - tri gal who has turned to the dark and dirty side
Steve - rides what he's got - road bike, mtn bike, borrowed cx bike and keeps on coming back and getting dirty
Glen - masters races sure but kid at heart
Jerry - long haired . . . oh wait, now short haired . . . mountain biking, cyclocross racing, grad student extraordinaire
Kieran - future cyclocross dominator (well, once he's old enough for the kid's race)
Jess - one time (or maybe a couple time) cx racer and noted fan (because watching cross is way more entertaining than mtn bike racing)
Wendy - our local cat 4 star who is hooked and in the market for a cross bike
Greg - tall enough to barely notice the barriers are there and master's speed demon
Little Jane - lover of mud and coiner of the phrase "the mud speaks to us"
Linda - noted for taking up any challenge including upgrading to cat 3 and finding fun in the mud
Heidi - who will be facing an intervention as we force her to confront the demon of the remount so she can crush the competition with her powerful riding
Travis - disdainer of mud and inspiration for additions of off camber and tight turns by some promoters
Paulie - fellow cx race promoter and master cyclocross technician
Jennifer - long suffering wife of cx race promoter with more knowledge of cx than she probably ever wanted
Richard - secret lover of running, waxer poetic on all things cross
Jim - newly minted doctor, on fire elite racer, representing in OH, IA, MO and beyond
Shannon - quick learning elite racer gal and recent recruit to the pink/blue ranks of CVC
Mark - dirt loving, cx convert
Jennifer - rumoured to be the next convert to cx racing . . . and who wouldn't want to after seeing all 7 videos again and again and again
Dan - cx historian with experience dating back to the '70s
David - feared foe Sachs boy . . . hey, that could make for a cool cx comic book
Dave - squirrel hater, master's racer with a need for a new cx bike
Damon - product tester, knowledge of all things bike and master's fastie
Chris - determined, focused and ready to take it to the next level
Kelson - official cheer leader who takes a break from screaming loudly to tear up the race course himself
Dave - aka Mr MadCross . . . official tech support of madcross.org . . . not an easy job this year as I filled up hard drives, became seriously frustrated at my aging desktop computer and finally demanded a new laptop. Oh yeah, and the guy who after many, many seasons on a mtn bike finally showed up on a cross bike.

I probably missed someone in that list and so I apologize in advance. Suffice it to say that the party was awesome and I already can't wait for the start of next season. I can already tell it's going to be even more fun.

Chris seems to say that it's 10 days to nationals . . . is that for real?!?! With that in mind I'm going skiing tonight.

Your comment about me and Running is a little premature. We're thinking "friends first", and see where it goes from there.
