Illness sucks

First Dave and I have a great weekend. I ski about 70k and Dave skis over 90k. It was fabulous.

However, as if in payback for having too much fun illness has returned to our house. It's crazy really since Dave doesn't get sick very often but this is his year for bad luck. He was still in bed when I left for work this morning. I'm not as sick as he is but I can feel it coming on. Yesterday and today I have had the worst sore throat. I didn't even ride to work and decided to just take the bus. I find super cold air and a sore throat take the fun out of the bike commute. I probably should have stayed home but I have a lot going on at work.

No skiing with the Mad Snow Betty group tonight. They're going to have to ski on without me as I really don't want to be sick for my travels around the state next week.

Lots going on with the bike clubs as well. This weekend the WCA Meeting takes place and I will be there to advocate for the new additions to women's racing. At the meeting we will be discussing requiring a separate Cat 4 Women's race at all races, scoring the Cat 3 Women for a separate overall series award and scoring Cat 4 Master's Women for an overall series award. I don't think it will be controversial but I have to be there to represent. After the meeting is the annual cyclocross banquet which will be fun. Unfortunately I have to make the long drive to Eau Claire after the banquet as I have a meeting there Monday at 7:45am. That won't be a fun drive Sunday night!
