What am I thinking?
The new Schwinn bike should have new bars, new stem, new saddle and new cassette by the end of the day today . . . . well, if everything arrives today. In addition, after 3 or so years I finally took my Sidi road bike shoes into the shop to have them help me with the adapter plate and cleats.
New bike, new shoes . . . . what does that mean? Racing, of course. Why take the bike and shoes out for a simple spin to Goodland Park or Paoli when you could make your first real ride the state road championship?!?! In a moment of insanity I registered for tomorrow's road race even though I don't like the course since I don't like hills that you have to ride up (place a barrier at the bottom and make us run and I'm much happier). Better get the bike and shoes dialed tonight!
After the road racing I'm heading over to the WEMS race at the John Muir trails since Dave is doing the 3 hour event. Should I take photos or should I race? I haven't ridden the trails at the Southern Kettle Morraine since about 1989. Maybe it's time.

RACE! Hey, good luck out there! Spring Prairie is a hell of a course, kick some butt!
