State of Emergency

The view from the bus stop outside my office at 4:30pm Wednesday.

A state of emergency was declared for Madison and some surrounding areas after we were hit with a blizzard yesterday. Roads were closed, schools were closed, malls closed, city and county offices were closed (not state offices though!). The buses stopped running at 7pm. It took me 2 hours to shovel our sidewalk and driveway. Cars were stuck on the interstate for 6-9 hours because semis couldn't make it up a hill outside of Madison. It's truly a crazy winter wonderland.

Whoa, you should have stopped by. If you were to head left from the sweet condo complex in front of you you'd be at my front door.

I would've given you a ride home on the snowmobile.
