I woke up and it was Friday

This week has been such a blur that when I realized this morning it was Friday I couldn't believe it.

Monday -
  • check in with roofers
  • go to work
  • leave a little early to go to Maytag warehouse so I can buy a blemished washing machine to go with the dryer and dishwasher I was buying for the upstairs apt - try not to be bitter that they are nicer than our washer/dryer and dishwasher
  • get home and make sweet potato and corn chowder for Tuesday night event
  • deal with some CVC stuff
  • show upstairs apartment
  • drive to Muskego to buy a split queen box spring I found via Craigslist
  • get home late, unload car and go to bed

Tuesday -
  • check in with roofers
  • go to work
  • come home and quickly prep for Mad FORCs steering committee meeting
  • attend Mad FORCs steering committee meeting and potluck which luckily was at my house which saved on travel time
  • do some cross race business
  • go to bed

Wednesday -
  • check in with roofers
  • go to work
  • come home early to meet with electrician and get estimate for installing upstairs washer/dryer and dishwasher
  • marvel at sheer number of roofers working at our house (2 crews instead of just our usual 6 guys)
  • go to Willy Bikes to help with Mega Sale sale bike moving and set up
  • rush home and drive to east side to meet a woman about a futon that was listed on Craigslist
  • arrive at woman's house at 7:04 (appointment is for 7pm)
  • find out the 7:30pm appt arrived early and had already bought futon
  • go home and have dinner
  • look over my home project estimates and try to decide who to hire for our laundry room work
  • do some other bike club business
  • go to bed

Thursday -
  • no roofing today because of weather so go straight to work
  • work late to make up for arriving late a couple of days due to checking in with roofers
  • ask Dave to pick up a floor lamp I got from craiglist
  • go home, talk with JPE about UCI race, start working on additional fees associated with City of Madison events
  • meet a guy to buy a queen bed frame that was on craigslist
  • go to CORP meeting to represent for the FORCs and let them know that we have started to work on getting trails in the City (not that I've done too much about it lately but we have started the converstation)
  • leave meeting early so I can get to friend's house to retrieve items she doesn't want that I can use to furnish our upstairs apt (desk, lamp, art for walls, etc)
  • take up our friends on staying for a glass of wine (hey, if I'm going to take their furniture I might as well take their wine too!)
  • chat with our woodworker who lives next door and happens to drop by
  • finally at 10pm Dave says "don't you think we should go and have dinner"
  • it suddenly dawns on me that indeed I have not yet had dinner and maybe that is why the wine seems unusually tasty
  • go home, have dinner at 10:30pm
  • finally go to bed about 11:30pm

Friday -
  • get up
  • run to bakery that is down the alley from the house to get donuts for our roofers since it is their last day of a very big job doing our roof
  • chit chat with the crew leader from our roofing crew and ask him to thank all the guys (and if you need a roofer in the Madison area I highly recommend Waunakee Remodeling)
  • go to work
  • go home
  • ???

Saturday -
  • most likely painting - if all goes well we'll be painting the the fascia boards on our house that had to be replaced. Of course, that requires us to be able to get the paint, hope that our ladders reach, and that the weather cooperates.
  • pick up a chair I found on craigslist and have been trying to find a time that would work for me and the seller. an impossible task.

Jealous of my exciting week aren't you????
