What a day!
Okay, so most of the afternoon racing was cancelled because of blizzard like conditions. I got to pre-ride the course in pouring rain. It was snow then pouring rain and then back to white out conditions snowing.
The course - Not an easy course with the slushy snow and mud and pouring rain. It definitely had some more technical bits with steep little downhills, off camber sections and muddy uphills that I wasn't riding but were maybe rideable although I didn't see anyone make it. There was one downhill where I really wondered if I was going to successfully make it around the turn or just go through the tape.
Don't know what tomorrow will bring as the conditions could be anything. If it gets cold and all the water on the course freezes it will be crazy times.
This morning Patti Kaufmann raced the 45+ race and I hear that she won!!!!! When the media room opens tonight I will confirm that.
