Media Credentials!!

I applied for media credentials for the Liberty Mutual U.S. National Cyclo-cross Championships and until today I hadn't heard back on whether I would get them or not. I was feeling a little bummed and like they were discriminating against the Midwest. I had read reports of other people getting them who were regional photographers with no more claim to be press than me. Today though I finally got word that I was officially part of the credentialed press. Excellent. That should mean better race reports and photos of all the Midwesterners heading east to race!

And for those of you who doubt my media-ness I have had some things published. Just recently my photos have appeared in Cross Country Ski magazine, Silent Sports and one of my photos was just chosen for the cover of a Nutrition textbook (thanks to a nordic skiing prof). Okay, it's not exactly Velo News and I'm not exactly quitting my day job to take photos and write articles but it counts!

Oh yeah and I've been asked to always refer to the event as the "Liberty Mutual U.S. Cyclo-cross Championships" so expect to see that a lot.
