What is it about the rain . . .

So last night I was in a pissy mood (job hunting related angst--enough said) and I thought the Practice Crit would be cancelled but I didn't know for sure. When the time came that I needed to leave if I wasn't going to be late I still hadn't heard so I set off for Research Park. And once again the ride was awesome. Now I have to admit that it wasn't really raining on this ride. I rode home from work in a total downpour and although I had planned to ride immediately on getting home I wasn't actually that motivated to go back out. However, by the time 5:15pm rolled around it was merely misting so I set out on the bike. It took me all the way to Research Park to get out of my bad mood but somehow it is hard to maintain a bad mood when it is misting lightly and you are on your bike. It's just too much fun. Once I got out to Research Park I talked to Craig Heywood who told me the Crit had been cancelled so I rolled around the loop a few times just for fun and then rode home. It was a great night for a ride. I had to laugh when I got home as the email that was sent saying the Crit was cancelled must have been sent just about the time I walked out the door.
