Back to Yoga
So last night I started up with a regular yoga class. I like the idea of doing yoga at home on my own but I all too frequently don't when I get busy. Luckily my favorite instructor was teaching a Monday night class again and it starts right at the time I can get there after work. It's perfect really.
For those of you who know yoga I'm doing Kundalini yoga which is one of the oldest styles and involves lots of meditation and a big emphasis on breathing. I used to do this yoga class before my knee surgery and I was pretty pathetic because I had no flexibility. However, every since my surgery and subsequent 9 months of physical therapy I have regained my flexibility. I felt pretty cool in class when suddenly I could do the "advanced" poses instead of the modifications. That was a first for me ! Not that yoga is a competitive sport (Lisa, the instructor, likes to remind us of that) but I admit that I have a tendency to try and turn it into one. Luckily for a lot of the poses we close our eyes so my classmates don't see me being a show off.
And in my normal Badger Cross race update here's what's happening:
1 - Market Street Diner in Sun Prairie just signed on as a sponsor. I'll have some gift cards as prizes and probably some Pie gift certificate for first lap primes. Yummy! I can't wait to go out there to pick them up. It would only be appropriate to go for brunch and support our latest sponsor.
2. I saw a rough sketch of the Badger Cross logo that we're going to put on the pint glasses and it is going to be cool. Cricket Design Works is doing the logo and it is going to be this cool looking badger holding a wheel with Badger Cross along the bottom. Those are going to be some coveted pint glasses!
3. I can't believe it but the cross clinic is virtually sold out already. I'm down to really only a couple of spots left and my press release never even got onto the WCA site. It's great to see cyclocross really taking off! I know people will enjoy it if they just give it a try.
