Finally reached Michigan!

Dave and I have finally reached Michigan! It was a long drive . . . on the up side we have an IPass and there is In Road Tolling now so you don't have to hardly even slow down at the tollbooths. On the down side there was a ton of construction especially once we crossed over into Michigan. It felt like a lifetime of driving but we made it. We're staying at an Extended Stay America so we just made a delicious dinner in our hotel room. LOVE that. Worth the $9 more per night over the Motel 6.

I took some photos during the drive over but I'll have to post those tomorrow as we don't have a card for the laptop to download them. Tomorrow we'll have to locate a store to buy one at after the race so we can upload photos from the race as well.

The highlight of the drive was getting a text message from my friend Mattie. The phone rang with the text message right after we went through the first Toll and both Dave and I didn't realize it was the phone at first. It was almost like the IPass was ringing. Normal people realize when their phone is ringing but we don't use it much so it always takes me by suprise.
