Wednesday means cross practice

Last night was cross practice. We had 20 people turnout which was both good and bad. It was great fun to see so many people out preparing for the season. It makes me nervous though as bigger groups increase the likelihood that someone will call in a complaint about us. We let everyone know though to take it slow through the corners where it is hard to see. Luckily there was only one small soccer game going on and one big group from a local day care having a child/parent picnic.

I only did three hard short efforts since I'm racing in Michigan this weekend and I did do lots of mtn biking last weekend. My first effort felt pretty good actually as I chased around the fast boys. We'll see how this weekend goes. There are some fast girls coming to Michigan - Bridgette Stoick (8th at Nats in RI), two of the Cheerwine gals and others. Should be a fun weekend!

Tonight I need to get packed up, go to the grocery store, take care of some race/clinic stuff and get ready to hit the road tomorrow. Lots to do since next week I'm going to be traveling for work a bunch. I'm taking a nice drive up to Superior for a meeting and then it's off to Stevens Point to speak at a conference. Then Friday I have off from work so I can get ready for the clinic (make the lunch!), last minute race preperation and pick up Ben at the airport in the afternoon. Next week should be very interesting (in a crazy chaotic sort of way).

The Badger Cross pint glasses arrived yesterday! I was nervous since I ordered them from a company I've never worked with before but they arrived early and the one I looked at seems fine. Hope all my blog readers who come to the race win one!
