Yoga is good
Last night was yoga night and it was just what I needed. This week the emphasis was on expelling pain/unhappiness from our past and transforming ourselves. It was really just what I needed after a disappointing race. The cool part is that it worked. I no longer care about having an off day or the fact that I always seem to have a bad performance at Chequamegon. I know this sounds a little "new agey" and it is but it did seem to work. Unfortunately we also got rid of anger and aggression during class last night which I was somewhat opposed to as I need a little of that for racing. Oh well. I'm all mellow and embracing joy now.
I would like to upload a couple of photos from marathonfoto.com of Chequamegon but Blogger won't let me. Check out Dave's photos or my photos if you want.
In Badger Cross race news it looks like we will have a massage therapist on site should people need a little attention after racing and he'll also be donating a gift certificate for some lucky person who might need more attention. I've also lined up some coffee for our volunteers and a few coffee shop prizes (coffee beans, travel mugs, etc) for those who need caffeine. And Ben Turner sent some Clif product for the clinic attendees to enjoy. I anticipate the arrival of the 144 cutom Badger Cross pint glasses this week!

Well you look fast, and that's what counts right? I have a yoga class on Mondays too, and it's an essential part of my training and my life.
But is yoga more effective than a "cheer up, you learned a lot from this race" e-mail from Ben?
Yeah, I get a lot of those.
