Keeping Busy

Monday

Monday - passport renewed and now time to party at The Chicago Diner with a vegan shake and some yummy food

Sunday

Yes, it rained in the morning on Sunday and all the clinic attendees go to practice in the rain

Practicing outside as the rain tapers off after lunch

I'm officially a little tired out now as it was a whirlwind weekend. Saturday I spent all day cooking food for the clinic, cleaning the house, doing laundry and trying to check things off my To Do list. I had plenty of time to do those things as Ben's flight was delayed out of Boulder and I didn't pick him up at the airport until after 12:30am on Saturday (technically Sunday I guess). Then Sunday we were up early and out to Badger Prairie for the clinic. It started out as a very rainy day and Ben did some of the demonstration in the shelter. However, we all braved the rain to practice and by lunch time it had stopped raining. After getting everything packed back into the car after the clinic and unpacking the car when we got home I think that Dave, Ben and I were all fairly tired. However, we took Ben to dinner at Monty's Blue Plate Diner and then hit the Willy Street Coop so Ben could check it out and get some snacks for the plane ride home. This morning we got Ben to the airport a little after 8am and then Dave and I were off to Chicago. After a few stressful moments I got to the Passport Agency at 11:15am. I went through the security check, then got in line to get into the office. Once in the office I got in line to get a number. Then I got a number and waited my turn. Got my documents processed and was out the door in just short of an hour and a half. Then we hung out until my passport was ready at 3:30pm and I was back to the Passport Agency where it took about 45 minutes to get my passport. Then we hit the bookstore to get some books for our vacation and we're off the Chicago Diner where we celebrated with a chocolate-strawberry vegan shake. Yummy! Then it was back home and now it is time for bed. One more workday until vacation!!

Oh yeah, and I have to say that everyone who came to the clinic was super cool. It got me very excited for the start of the season and I can tell it is going to be a great season.
