Jingle Cross Day One

Got up at 5am for the drive to Iowa City for Jingle Cross. I raced the Women's 35+ which started after the 35+ Men, 45+ Men and 55+ Men. That wouldn't have been a big deal but they were pulling lapped riders. I got lapped by the first place 35+ guy just at the end of Lap 2 so that was that. I think I finished 6th or at the worst 7th but the results show 8th. After the trouble Monique went through to get the 1st-5th results corrected I didn't bother with trying to argue with the officials over the placings that were outside of the money. I think Heidi was bummed that we only made two laps as she was trying to work her way up to me and it's no secret that I tend to get slower as the race goes on.

Tomorrow we'll see if I can get in 3 laps before I get pulled.
