Home.
We made it back home from our many travels. I've got a nasty cold. I always hate coming home and back to the normal. However, I guess it isn't really back to the normal since the Holidays are almost here and I've done nothing to prepare. I haven't even figured out when I need to be where.
Here's some shots from the trip:
Stopped for a little ride near the shores of Lake Ontario. The road seemed good to start but quickly was just iced over and challenging to ride. We ended up abandoning the gravel road alongside the canal and just cruising around town.
Dinner in London, Ontario at The Zen Garden Vegetarian Restaurant (this place was awesome!)
We spent a rainy day in Ottawa at the National Gallery of Art.
Skiing in Gatineau Park just north of Ottawa at the trail at P10. It was a long uphill ski from the parking lot and a bit icy on the way back down.
I also did some bike racing in Providence. Had lots of fun racing, suffered from a lack of any riding or training this last month but didn't really care once I got going.
Went out to dinner on Saturday night with a big crowd of 18. It was fun to hang out and have dinner with lots of people you normally just see at the races.
So what a trip it has been . . . Dave and I have been to Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ontario, Quebec, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, back to Indiana, Illinois and finally back to Wisconsin.
We've eaten great food, visited Dave's sister, biked, skied, gone to a museum, raced cross, pretended to speak French, hung out with friends, gotten lost many times, cheered for lots of people, used dial up internet, gotten a cold, flatted, eaten at a Waffle House, and had a great time.
I can't believe we're back home! Now I just have to kick this horrible cold and then it needs to snow as it is officially ski season at our house.

Sorry Renee, but Dave looks like he could use some raw, red meat. Lots of it.
