Reporting from Cherub Central

Yes, there is snow somewhere in the Midwest. ABR in Ironwood, MI is one of the few places in MI, WI or MN that has good skiable snow. Pretty much everyone was in Ironwood today.

My legs are shot at this point as I had skied about 3 hours at this point. I forgot how the legs and arms feel after your first day of skiing hard. I could barely stand up to have my photo taken as I was ready to be done!

Now to the cherubs . . . We had hoped to ski Minocqua's Winter Park but after skiing the Schlecht Trails last night we knew that was going to happen. The snow in Minocqua is thin and hard . . . you might say boiler plate even. The Schlecht trails were barely skiable by someone of my skills. It wasn't actually ice but it didn't seem much different than ice to me.

Anyway, we headed to Ironwood this morning and luck was with us and we were able to get a room at the Budget Host in Ironwood. Not just any room though . . .we got one of the theme rooms. Yes, we are staying in the Cherub Room. This is not at all a joke as the Budget Host really has such a room. Here are a few of the many cherub items in our room.

The first cherubs you see when you open the door.

Cherubs on the tv cabinet.

Cherubs above the couch.

Cherub wall hanging in the bathroom area.

I find it hilarious that the Cherub post was the one that I was most inclined to comment on. I thought of you walking into the room and started laughing out loud.
