PT is finally done
It's official I have "graduated" from Physical Therapy. I took the final exam today and passed pretty much with flying colors. I won't be able to dunk any basketballs in the near future but I should be okay biking. I'm also showing some slow improvement in my mounts and dismounts. Yes, I still have a stutter step and I'm still not feeling comfortable enough to grab the top tube coming into the barrier. However, I am doing okay and progressing along.
It was the first week of cross practice and we had a nice little group -- me, Jim, Kurt, Gene and Gwen (yeah for Gwen who came out for the first time and now thinks we are big slackers). I made everyone do start sprints with me but otherwise we just did some practice mounts and dismounts and chatted about the season. Things will be getting amped up at practices though as Kurt and Jim have plans for big UCI races and so will undoubtedly be putting the hurt on everyone as we get closer to the season.
It's almost time for the big cross clinic which I absolutely cannot let anyone else into . . . I've already gone over my upper limit by a couple spots as I'm a total sucker for a beginner racer who is excited to give cross a try.
