Happy Holidays to all!

Something a little different today . . .

The presents are all wrapped and under the tree . . . oh wait I didn't decorate a tree this year so I guess the presents are all wrapped and sitting on the floor. And yes I use grocery bags as wrapping paper. That shouldn't suprise you as I'm one of those stereotypical pc, granola-crunchy, downtown Madison gals. Heck my family doesn't even blink an eye at it anymore.

Now I may not have decorated for the holidays at home but things were a little different at the office. This year to boost employee morale we had a winter/holiday decorating contest. It was as you can see a bit overdone for my taste . . .

However, in the spirit of competition my staff and I got involved in the decorating mayhem. We were the underdogs as my staff is all fairly young guys and I am notorious for having no holiday spirit. However, we plotted and planned and used a non-traditional approach to win the competition. We used items from the office as decorations (rear flasher lights, whistles and personal parking meters hanging from lanyards strung together).

And then even though I was the office bah humbugI did finally offer up my own rendition of holiday decorating . . .

The best part being my hand colored Scrooge combined with holiday cartoons featuring anti-moped and anti-car themes combined with really cheesy holiday magnets. So I have some holiday spirit! Next year I think I need to put up a Christmas tree and start my holiday shopping before Cross Nats or I will once again be doomed to holiday lameness. I know, I know I didn't even host a Holiday ride this year. I will try to do better next year!!!!

Happy Holidays! May the new year bring you lots of awesome adventures!
