Cross Madness at my house
Okay, I have today off from work (which is sweet after a week of crazy travel for work). However, it's no vacation around here.
I just signed two new sponsors this morning - Becker Law Office and Oakley. Thanks to Becker Law Office we'll be waiving the $10 one-day license fee for juniors who don't have an Annual license. We also will be going 5 deep for prizes in the junior races. I wish I had more time to publicize it but you take sponsors when you can get them and Don Becker was great to step up and do this. I couldn't be more excited.
I just finished making some of the cross clinic food and now I'm baking 214 cookies. A local food distribution company rep always donates frozen cookies that just need to be baked along with a few of our other food items. The cookie baking is quite an operation! I'm awaiting the arrival of the 150 Boca burgers from UPS and have cleaned out my freezer as best I could to make room.
Ben arrives at 3:30pm and so I should clean my house a little bit. Last year I did a great job cleaning before Ben and Adam came but this year with the race the very next day and my week of travel Ben is just going to see how I really live!
Looks like high 60s for Sunday so it should be the kind of day to not scare away even the beginner cross crowd . . . and the kind of day where my volunteers don't mind being at the race.
Dave is off picking up the PA system and a few other odds and ends. Better go check my oven for burnt cookies and get working on the info for the race announcer. Hope to see you Sunday!

Thanks for the big welcome to Wisconsin! I can't wait to go out with true Beginner Women on Saturday.

And by "race announcer", I hope you mean who I hope you mean.
