Insomnia
For the first time in my life I've been having trouble sleeping. Every few days I will have a night where I keep waking up and then having trouble falling back to sleep. It really sucks as I've always been the kind of person who once I was asleep nothing would wake me up. It hasn't really added to my patience with people or situations and it sucks to not be well rested. It seems that I'm either plagued by how busy I am at work or some bike-related drama that is happening.
Luckily my trip to Colorado is only a month away. Even though half the trip is for work it will still be nice to just be away from home. Plus Safe Routes to School conferences are fun. We are even going to visit some schools in Boulder to see the improvements they have made.
I'm also thinking of getting a new road bike . . . . my Trek 5200 is now 7 years old which seems like enough time to warrant a new one. I'm hoping that a new bike will get me enthused again about road biking as I haven't been feeling that excited about it lately. The first local crit is this Sunday so I need some enthusiasm asap as I know my team would like me to show up. It would also be nice to have 10 speed so I can swap my new Powertap wheel between my road bike and cross bike more easily. (Is that a fair justification for a new bike?!?!)
The forecast calls for snow . . . 4-7" of accumulation. I love living in Wisconsin!! Changeable weather makes life much more interesting.

That sucks - hopefully it's temporary. Any excuse for a new bike! I just got a new BMC frameset, keeping the Campy components though.
